Often referred to as Mexican Agate, Crazy Lace Agate is a banded variety of chalcedony formed from microcrystalline Quartz. The complex swirling patterns developed through repeated mineral-rich silica deposits over millions of years within volcanic environments in Chihuahua, Northern Mexico, the only known source of this material.
