This amazing Dioptase crystal specimen has an intense emerald colour with numerous rhombohedral crystal formations and no matrix with mica.
It is highly sought after due to its colour but also how difficult it is to form and is becoming even more scarce on the market.
Conditions need to be dry where Copper Sulfide is found and after a very long period, minimal silica quantities may react with dissolved copper to form Dioptase as well as Chrysocolla - also only found in a few locations including Kazakhstan, Namibia, Russia and the DR Congo.
