This unique crystal cluster has a natural light blue colour with banding and a central open sparkling botryoidal (round) crystal pocket - Mica also adds a light gold shimmer throughout the matrix

Blue Lace Agate is a rarer type of banded Chalcedony and a mineral of the Quartz family. Quality Blue Lace Agate is mainly found only in one mine in Namibia, South Africa.
Agates are formed as silica within cavities of volcanic and plutonic igneous rocks when gases are trapped in molten lava over thousands of years.
The blue lace pattern occurs in a very slow process where a layer of silica-rich solution solidifies and more deposit occurs on top until the cavity is filled ~ results in banding in Agate
