Parts of the specimen are coated with fine sugar quartz and contain unique pyrite inclusions, creating contrast between the fluorite crystals and the surrounding mineral growth.

The specimen is from the Yaogangxian Mine, Hunan, China, a locality known for producing fluorite with phantom structures and associated mineral inclusions.
