This natural tektite shows a deep black glassy surface with rounded form and scattered pitting, formed through high-temperature melting and rapid cooling during a meteorite impact. The surface texture reflects atmospheric shaping as molten material solidified mid-flight - packaged in a display case
Tektites are not volcanic, but terrestrial material transformed under extreme impact conditions approximately 700,000 years ago, resulting in a dense natural glass with irregular contours and internal variation.
