This rare Scapolite crystal has several layers of purple from Manganese and Iron.
It's name originates from Skapos meaning stick or rod due to its long crystal formation. Only found in metamorphic or igneous rock - there are a few locations including Tanzania, Myanmar, Afghanistan, Canada and Brazil with this piece coming from Madagascar.
