This design pairs natural Ethiopian opal with aquamarine, suspended from sterling silver huggie hoops. The opal exhibits characteristic play-of-colour caused by microscopic silica spheres diffracting light, while aquamarine - a beryl mineral coloured by trace iron - has a soft, aqueous blue transparency.

The Opal Light Drops are part of the Atmospheric Spectrum Collection - a series exploring optical phenomena, mineral translucency and the interaction of light within crystalline structures and a colour palette based on the pantone colour of the year Cloud Dancer.
