This second genuine Spiralite/Spirallite specimen has sparkling Quartz and smoky Chalcedony crystals formed in the large opening. These specimens have been fossilised over 100 million years ago - during the Cretaceous period where India was submerged under the Tethys Ocean.
Gemologist signed certificate of authenticity included as some crystal shell specimens on the current market are lab grown with Quartz.
This is in itself isa rare specimen but even rarer with a sinistral shell being coiled in an anti-clockwise direction (left-handed). When viewing from the front, the opening appears on the left side (giving advantage to molluscs against its predators and possesses high metaphysical properties)
