This design pairs natural Ethiopian opal with aquamarine from sterling silver huggie hoops. The opal exhibits characteristic play-of-colour caused by microscopic silica spheres diffracting light, while aquamarine - a beryl mineral coloured by trace iron - has a soft, aqueous blue transparency.
