Cobaltoan Calcite (Salrose) with Malacolla & Black Dolomite Druzy Specimen

An amazing Cobaltoan Calcite specimen (Aphrodite Stone or Salrose) with sparkling  crystal floret formations in a natural vibrant pink colour from Cobalt ions present in the crystal structure. Chrysocolla and Malachite has also formed along the top and back of the cluster - can be position in several ways

Approximate Measurements - 7.5cm x 3.5cm x 4.2cm

Due to the colouring, it is one of the most sought after Calcites by collectors. It is also uncommon to find Malachite, Chrysocolla and Dolomite forming on the surface which adds a contrasting blue-green and black to the crystal

First discovered in Tuscany, Italy, this rarer mineral has since been only found in a few other locations including Argentina, Germany, Mexico, Morocco, Spain, US and the DRC (Congo).
