Black Tourmaline & Silver Mica Specimen

This black Tourmaline schorl has Mica formed along one of the sides which adds a high shimmer to the surface

Tourmaline is formed via the hydrothermal process where a mix of water and minerals fills cracks in hot magma. As hot magma cools and hardens into rock, tourmaline is  then found in large veins of rock. Mica also forms under extreme heat and pressure into extremely thin plates
